Frontend Developer

In 2016, Badoo launched a couple of in-house marketing projects focused on communicating with our users and new audiences around the globe. These projects are growing rapidly and now we are looking for a Frontend Developer to work within our dedicated team. As part of this team, you will own and drive features from scratch to delivery and work alongside our internal customers to build great marketing tools. 

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB ROLE

  • Design the architecture, plan, develop and release new features for our internal projects
  • Take the lead on new features as required
  • Work with JavaScript and CSS
  • Server-side API: strictly typed and well defined data-only API
  • Work in a big team, actively collaborating with fellow JavaScript and CSS developers, Quality Assurance, Release Engineers and designers
  • Communicate well and be an efficient and responsible team member

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Extensive full-time development experience
  • Knowledge of strengths and weaknesses of JavaScript
  • Ability to write object-oriented and modular code that will be supported for a long time
  • Across latest developments in UI, responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, general web standards
  • Knowledge of internet stack: HTTP, Linux, Nginx/Apache desirable
  • Experience with one of server-side scripting languages desirable
  • Background in highload project work, optimising code and performance desirable
  • Flexible and able to adapt to new requirements quickly
