Spanish Localisation Manager

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and tech savvy localisation specialist to join the Badoo Localisation team, a key function within the Product team. The Spanish Localisation Manager will adapt product content into Spanish and test the copy to ensure Badoo’s ideas and products feel and sound natural, as well as coordinate a diverse range of localisation projects. The Localisation team focuses on globalising the Badoo brand and its products through the adaptation of linguistically and culturally centred messages and concepts to move our international users’ hearts and minds, making our global users feel as if the product were designed within their culture.


  • Localise all Badoo content from English into Spanish for web and mobile platforms
  • Test and review the translated copy on all platforms and for all Badoo products
  • Ensure localised content is correctly implemented in the product
  • Create and maintain linguistic QA test cycles on TestRail for all languages and for several platforms
  • Investigate linguistic issues and raise tickets to solve them if necessary
  • Oversee localisation projects assigned from planning to implementation
  • Keep communication open with other team members and give weekly regular updates
  • Collaborate with team members and localisation devs to optimise process and tools
  • Liaise with Product, QA, Dev and other Badoo teams as required


  • Fluency in Spanish and English essential
  • Degree or relevant experience in localisation, translation, transcreation, journalism, copywriting in Spanish
  • Keen interest in social media and new technologies
  • Great communication skills and proactive attitude
  • Knowledge of bug-tracking software, testing programs or CAT tools beneficial
